(11-5-20) Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on 11/05/2020 at approximately 6:06 am., his office investigated a personal injury crash at the intersection of US 12 and Fir Rd., Milton Twp.

Investigation shows that Paul Glaessmann (29) of Granger, Indiana pulled onto US 12 from Fir Rd. into the path of an oncoming motorcycle. The motorcycle was driven by Edward Hanson III (28) of Elkhart, Indiana. Hanson III crashed into the rear of Glaessmann’s vehicle and was thrown from his motorcycle. Glaessmann was not injured. Hanson III was transported to South Bend Memorial for treatment.

Seatbelts were worn and Hanson III was wearing a helmet. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
