(7-18-20) On 07/18/2020 at 1:30am Cass County Deputies responded to a Domestic Assault in the 14000 Block of Hideaway Road in Porter Township.
Once Deputies arrived at the location the suspect fled out the back door of the residence into a large wooded area. Cass County K9 “Faust” was requested to track the subject into the wooded area. Cass County K9 Faust located the subject hiding in the middle of the large wooded area.
The 28 year old male from Vandalia, Michigan was transported to Ascension Borgess Hospital in Dowagiac for injuries sustained in the incident.
The subject was then taken to the Cass County Jail for Domestic Assault 2nd Offense with strangulation and Resisting Arrest. This case remains under investigation.
