(6-18-20) Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports his office is investigating a single vehicle crash which occurred on M-60 Hwy, west of Oak Grove Rd, in Jefferson Twp., Cass County, Michigan. This crash happened on 06-17-20 at approx. 3:15 pm.
Emergency personnel responding to the scene found a single vehicle having left the roadway. The vehicle crashed through approximately 40 feet of fence line, overturning several times before striking a tree and coming to rest against the downed tree. The driver was identified as Lisa Marie Roddy (46) of Cassopolis, Michigan. Roddy was transported to Spectrum Health Lakeland Niles for treatment from injuries sustained in the crash.
Cass Central Fire Department and Pride Care Ambulance assisted on scene.
A seatbelt appears to have been used by Roddy and Alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
This crash remains under investigation at this time.
