(3-16-20) Yesterday Ohio Governor Mike DeWine shut down restaurants and bars.
DeWine said he came to the decision after being contacted by citizens around the state sharing photos and stories of crowded bars Saturday night, despite warnings of social distancing and the governor’s edict limiting crowds to no larger than 100 people.

Also yesterday Illinois Governor JB Pritzker followed suit with DeWine’s move.

This morning Illinois State Senator Dave Syverson (Rockford) posted the following on his Facebook account –
The responses to his posting have varied on both sides of the issue –
Disagree
You’re truly clueless, Senator. This is about helping the immuno-compromised. Your birch and moan posts show ZERO leadership skills. ZERO……
This doesn’t even look like it was written by someone with any intelligence, common knowledge, or common sense. Most of these questions can be answered if you just think for a minute or two… common knowledge and common sense! ****! We even have google!!! So many things about this post that if a senator can’t figure out, this is why we’re all ****ed. And this is why Rockford, and Illinois are the way they are.
Agree
What I fine disturbing is, this post is well thought out and all you people are bashing it. Yall should be ashamed for being so naive. Nobody is talking about the fact that anything managed by the IDNR is closed too.. waterways, state forest and parks. What does the outdoors have to do with the spreading of a virus??? If you don’t believe there’s something more insidious going on than I feel sorry for you. Get all your cash from your banks and start preparing
your right. I agree with Dave on this. This is a mess! I also just heard I believe Rock Cut Park is closed. How would someone get germs going for a walk? Some of this is extreme to me.
What do you think…to much to little?
