 Mishawaka Principal Jerome Calderone

“This is a big move for our school. We put a lot of time, effort and research into changing conferences. We consulted with Mishawaka legends who have been leaders for decades. We also met with all 19 of our varsity coaches before making an application to the NLC. We appreciate the strong relationships we have with schools from the NIC, and we look forward to developing those same bonds in the Northern Lakes. 2020 will be an exciting time for all Cavemen”.

Mishawaka Director of Athletics Dean Huppert

“As one of the founding members of the Northern Indiana Conference, Mishawaka has been proud to be in the NIC since 1927. We’ll continue that tradition the next two years before moving to the Northern Lakes Conference in 2020. It will be exciting to continue our existing rivalries while enhancing the traditions of Cavemen Athletics by developing new ones”.

Teams in the NLC:

Concord, Goshen, Northridge, NorthWood, Plymouth, Warsaw, Wawasee and Mishawaka in 2020
