(1-12-23) Saturday ‘Cuvier’ will race at Gulfstream Park. He has been a much anticipated purchase for thoroughbred fractional owners via MyRacehorse since he was offered in 2022. But a snafu with the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) has put buying shares on hold for now…and most likely longer.

Cuvier is a 3 year old colt. He was sired by Collected out of the Flower Alley mare Chasing The Moon. He is trained by Todd A. Pletcher. He looks to be a good one.

Complete details from MyRacehorse before the offer was removed from the MRH web site.

$160 a share –

One thing owners of fractional shares understand and are now learning that horse racing is a business. But thanks to MRH they do so many things to allow owners an affordable way to be a part of ownership. That includes the piles and piles of paperwork that comes along the way..along with all of the behind the scenes items that need to be done.

How does the delay affect the MRH racing plan for ‘Cuvier‘ on the financial side not being able to raise funds by the selling of shares?

Two other ownership opportunities are also on hold with the SEC…Raven’s Lady 21 and Forever Rose because of the SEC rulings.

The SEC process and changes do not happen over night.

Cuvier’s Race On Saturday (1-14-23)

Pletcher’ trainees debuting on Saturday in this field includes Cuvier, a son of Pacific Classic (G1) winner and Breeders’ Cup Classic runner-up Collected. The chestnut colt clocked a quick half-mile from the Palm Beach Downs starting gate in 49.30 seconds last week. Keep in mind, Pletcher has gone 19-for-79 (24 percent) debuting 3-year-olds males over the Gulfstream dirt since 2018.
