(7-6-20) This morning at 6:50 am, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a personal injury crash, at the intersection on Penn Rd and Dutch Settlement, in Penn Township. New York resident, Yocov Roness (20) was traveling south bound when he failed to stop at the signed intersection. His vehicle collided with an oncoming vehicle, driven by Marcellus resident Cassandra Jordan (30).
Jordan and her 2 yr old child, Weston Jordan, were treated and released at the scene. Roness was transported to Borgess Hospital in Dowagiac for treatment.
It appears that all parties were using their seat-belts and intoxicating substances were not a factor.
This case remains under investigation.
