(01/09/2020) Today at 2:26 pm Berrien County Deputies responded to the 6 mile marker south bound on the US 31 Bypass in Niles Twp for a two car collision.

Upon arrival Deputies found that a silver Chrysler Concord that was North bound had crossed the median and had a collision with a Brown Ford Fusion that was traveling South Bound.

The driver of the Ford Fusion a 17 year old male from Niles Michigan and the Passenger a 16 year old female also from Niles Michigan were transported by SMCAS Ambulance to Memorial hospital in Indiana for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Chrysler Concord a 35 year old female from Goshen Indiana was also transported by SMCAS ambulance for life threatening injuries to Memorial Hospital Indiana where she later died from her injuries.

It is unknown at this time if drugs of alcohol were a factor in this collision.

This Collision remains under investigation by the Berrien County Accident Investigation Team.
