(9-17-19) On Wednesday 9-11-2019 SWET-West detectives along with members of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, and Saint Joe Public Safety executed a narcotics search warrant in the City of Saint Joseph.

Amanda Borrelli (36) was arrested following a 1-month investigation into the distribution of crystal meth at her home in Saint Joe City.  During the execution of the search warrant SWET Detectives located approximately a half ounce of crystal meth, heroin, and approximately 30 morphine pills and other drug related items on the property.

Amanda Borrelli was lodged in Berrien County Jail on the following charges:

  1. Possession with intent to deliver crystal meth 2nd
  2. Possession with intent to deliver heroin 2nd
  3. Maintaining a drug house 2nd

SWET- West is seeking Matthew Jordan (30)  in connection with the investigation. Jordan was not at the house during the execution of the search warrant.  Jordan currently is a fugitive parole absconder and is wanted by MDOC for parole violations.

On Monday 9-16-2019 SWET- WEST detectives along with members Berrien Tactical Response Unit (TRU), Berrien County Road Patrol, FBI, DEA, and Benton Harbor Public Safety executed a search warrant in the City of Benton Harbor.

Officers located three suspects inside the house at the time of the warrant, William Beecham (27), Tipton Walker (23) and Jamon Hill (26)

During a search of the home and property officers located approximately 2 ounces of heroin, a Glock pistol with an extended magazine, ammunition, approximately 3 pounds of marijuana, and other drug related items.

All three suspects were lodged in Berrien County jail on numerous felony charges.  These charges include

  1. Possession with intent to deliver heroin
  2. Possession of a firearm by a felon
  3. Possession of ammo by a felon
  4. Possession with intent to deliver marijuana
  5. Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
  6. Maintaining a drug house
  7. Bond violation
  8. Tether violation
  9. Felony probation violation

The Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) is comprised of sworn law enforcement personnel from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office, Allegan Police Department, Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, Barry County Sheriff’s Office, Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Covert Township Police Department, Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office, Kalamazoo Township Police Department, Michigan State Police, South Haven Police Department, Saint Joseph County Sheriff’s Office, and Sturgis Police Department.
