(1-24-18) The Federal Commincations Commission has granted Marion Williams a construction permit for a new FM translator to rebroadcast WNIL-AM at 107.5.
The past several years numerous translators have been awarded across the country, including helping AM signals to improve their overall coverage. Presently WNIL-Am broadcasts at 500 watts daytime and 44 watts, the new translator will greatly increase the night time coverage.
On May 19 (2014), Federated Media announced the sale of WNIL to Marion R. Williams, who already owned WSMK (99.1 FM) in Buchanan.
