(9-20-25) Every once in awhile there comes along a horse that is very, very special…this year’s Little Brown Jug winner Louprint is one of those horses.
He showed how special he was by winning the 2025 Little Brown Jug in impressive fashion and was never really challenged.
Louprint, is sired by the Burke-trained $3.4 million earner Sweet Lou out of Rockin Racer, is a homebred for Pennsylvania’s Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi and Phil Collura, also co-owned by New Jersey’s Lawrence Karr.
Hall of fame trainer Ron Burke talked about Louprint–
“It was the most confidence I have had in any I’ve had going to the gate in this race. As soon as they lined up, I figured unless he broke a hobble or something, that he’d get it done.
I think he’s the greatest of my horses I’ve ever sat behind and trained. He does everything well. He doesn’t have a hole in his game. Even with great horses you can feel maybe they do this better or that better. He does everything 100 percent perfect. If we didn’t win this today, it would be a suck week. I knew he’d get it done.”
His driver Ronnie Wrenn, Jr after the Jug said –
“He’s a special horse,. This means a lot. It’s a special moment. I’m trying to soak it all in. A horse like him gives me confidence.”
