(11-19-20) Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on 11/19/20 at 7:05 am, his office was called to a traffic crash at the intersection of US 12 and Union Rd, in Union Michigan.

Constantine resident, Anne Lowry (39) was westbound on US 12 when she collided with Union resident, Edward Nienow (68) was walking across the street. Nienow passed away due to injuries sustained at the scene.

Lowry was wearing her safety belt. Drugs and Alcohol are not believed to be a factor at this time. This crash remains under investigation
