(11-9-20) The Berrien County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on County Line Road near 66th Ave in Watervliet Township.

Ernesto Garcia (60) South Haven was driving a 1998 Volvo semi-truck and trailer.  Garcia turned south onto County Line Road from an open field.

Robert Clem (58) Hartford was driving a 2003 Buick south on County Line Road.  Clem’s vehicle rear ended the 1998 Volvo causing extensive damage.  Clem was found deceased on scene.

This case remains under investigation.  The final report will be submitted to the Berrien County Prosecutor for review.
