(9-7-20) One of the most popular and long lasting TV series was CSI. This Crime Scene Investigation team was based in Sin City…Las Vegas. The popularity of the show would lead to three spin-offs, CSI:Miami, CSI:NY and CSI:Cyber, all four were shown on CBS. Three of the four can still be seen daily on various cable stations and streaming networks.
CSI DREAM TEAM

So who would you want to solve one of the toughest crimes from the CSI franchise?
We selected four members that represented three of the CSI series as our Dream Team.
Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) is a Detective First Grade and the director of the NYPD crime lab. Born in Chicago, Mac served as a major in the USMC, serving in both the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing and Operation Desert Storm, once saying that he had wanted to serve his country more than anything else in the world. Mac lost his wife, Claire, in the World Trade Center attacks, dates occasionally, and eventually proposes to an old friend, Christine Whitney, in the series finale.
Marg Helgenberger as Catherine Willows, the graveyard shift CSI assistant supervisor. Catherine is a blood-spatter analyst who joined the CSI team as a lab technician and worked her way up to assistant supervisor, later succeeding Grissom. After a stint as the graveyard shift CSI supervisor, Catherine is demoted following a departmental scandal, and leaves Las Vegas to join the FBI as a special agent. During the series finale, a recently returned Willows is granted the directorship of the crime lab when Sidle leaves Las Vegas.
Emily Procter as Calleigh Duquesne, a CSI Level 3 and Horatio’s Assistant Supervisor. Duquesne is a veteran MDPD Detective and the longest serving member of the crime lab.[69] She is a ballistics specialist. Her slight build, blonde hair, and Southern belle accent often lead others to underestimate her, but she is a brilliant and a dedicated scientist. She develops a romantic relationship with fellow CSI Eric Delko and, in the show’s final season, adopts two children.
Robert David Hall as Dr. Albert “Al” Robbins, the chief medical examiner. Robbins is the head county coroner of the LVPD. He is married with three children and has prosthetic legs, having lost his own legs after being hit by a drunk driver as a teenager. Al rarely leaves the crime lab, instead performing autopsies and referring specimens for forensic analysis. He forms strong bonds with both Gil Grissom and Raymond Langston.
CSI – Did you know….
A total of 36 season combined – CSI 15 seasons, CSI:Miami 10 seasons, CSI: NY 9 seasons and CBS:Cyber 2 seasons
Biggest Shocker and CSI Mistake – Kim Delaney ”CSI: Miami” who played ‘Megan Donner’ was written out of the show due to lack of chemistry with David Caruso after just 10 episodes.
Royal (?) Guest Star on CSI:NY was Meghan Markle who played Veronica Perez in 2006 (Season 3 Episode 7) ‘Murder Sings The Blues’.
