(7-6-20) Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on 07/05/2020 at 1:39 pm, the Sheriff’s Office was called to investigate a motorcycle crash that occurred on Brownsville St east of Crooked Creek Rd in Calvin Township.
Michael Bell (50) of Schoolcraft,was driving his motorcycle westbound on Brownsville Street when Bell hit loose gravel, he lost control and ended up in a ditch. Bell was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for his injuries.
Bell was wearing a helmet when the crash happened. At this time it is not known if intoxicating substances were a factor.
This case remains under investigation Assisting in the crash was the Michigan State Police, Cassopolis PD, Pride Care Ambulance, and Penn Township Fire Department
