(11-27-24) On Friday November 22nd, 2024 at approximately 11:20 PM; Dowagiac Police Department responded to the 300 Block of W. Telegraph St. for a victim with a gunshot wound. During the course of the investigation, officers learned the incident began when three individuals were physically fighting each other. During the assault the suspect produced a handgun that he had on his person concealed, and began shooting at the victim. The suspect then fled from the scene on foot.

The suspect was identified and taken into custody without incident shortly after 1:30 AM on Saturday November 23rd, 2024.

The suspect alleged of this criminal act is Marcus Haskins of Dowagiac, MI. He was arraigned on the following charges in Cass County: 2 counts of assault with intent to murder, 2 counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, Dangerous Weapon- Carrying with unlawful intent, 2 counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, 5 counts of Felony firearm. Marcus Haskins has a bond set at $300,000.00, he is currently lodged in the Cass County Jail.
