The female has been identified as Eddisa Concepcion Herrera, who went missing after jumping in Lake Michigan at the North Avenue Beach, in Chicago, IL on December 21, 2018.
Michigan authorities were assisted by the Chicago Police Department during this investigation.
This was an accidental drowning. Our condolences to the family.
(3-31-19) At 12:40 PM this afternoon, a person walking on the shore of Lake Michigan spotted a deceased female that washed up on shore, north of Warren Dunes State Park, in Lake Township.
The police were sent to the scene and began an investigation. The female has not been identified.
An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow at WMed.
Several agencies assisted with this investigation, including the Lake Twp Fire Department and the DNR Park Rangers from the Warren Dunes State Park.
This incident is currently under investigation and more information will follow.
