On April 12, 2019 at approximately 12:10 am, the Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety responded to a shooting that occurred in the 300 block of Colby Avenue in City of Benton Harbor. Several rounds were fired in the direction of a residence, striking multiple locations. A 60 year old male subject was shot inside the home while sitting on the couch watching TV. He was transported to Lakeland Hospital for treatment and is in stable condition. This shooting may be gang related and is still under investigation.
BHDPS was assisted by the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department and the MSP Major Case Team.
